Mastering Advanced Tiered Links for 2026
Free backlinks still work in 2026, however only from websites with genuine traffic and editorial requirements. The other kind (mass directory sites with a DA above 40 and nothing behind it) mainly get you a nofollow tag and a squandered afternoon. This list pulls from real website inventories: BacklinkForMe's own totally free backlink websites page, Locafy's service directory research, and the called platforms Ahrefs and Backlinko point to in their own link structure guides.
Where a source reported a DA or DR figure, it's consisted of and identified with its scale. Treat every number as directional. Moz's DA and Ahrefs' DR are different scoring systems, and third-party price quotes drift with time, so re-check anything you're about to invest actual time on. A couple of guidelines before you start submitting: The majority of the sites below are nofollow (Google Company Profile, Yelp, Reddit, Pinterest, and nearly every social platform are nofollow by default).
contextual do-follow linksDirectory sites cross-reference NAP (name, address, phone) data. The sites in that section below decline submissions that check out like an advertisement.
A lot of are nofollow, but they're still worth declaring due to the fact that they establish NAP consistency, which Google and Bing both use as a regional ranking signal, and because a claimed Google Company Profile or Bing Places listing appears straight in map and regional search results no matter link worth.
